New draw men's singles and men's doubles (qualification)
The draw for the Men's Singles and the Men's Doubles qualification have been redone by the referee at the Managers Meeting on Monday evening. In both events, withdrawals led to imbalances in the draws, which forced referee Carsten Koch to draw again. Consequently, the time schedule had also to be adapted (for all events in qualifying). Please check www.toernooi.nl for the new draws and schedules.

On September 23, the BWF published the M&Q-lists for the Yonex Dutch Open. These lists provide information about which players/pairs will be admitted directly to the main events, and which players will have to play in the qualification rounds. The lists will be updated by the BWF if players/pairs withdraw from the tournament before the draw will be done.

After receiving the entries the Badminton World Federation has made the seedings for the Yonex Dutch Open 2009. The Dutch Team is well endowed with seedings. In the men's singles Dicky Palyama and Eric Pang are respectively seeded 3 and 6 Judith Meulendijks is seeded second in the women's singles. Titel defender Yao Jie (4) and Rachel van Cutsen (7) are also the 'protected' players.

In the men's doubles Koen Ridder and Ruud Bosch are in position 2. Ruud is also seeded in the mixed doubles with Paulien van Dooremalen (4). Samantha Barning and Dave Khodabux are seeded eighth.

Last Wednesday, the referee of the Yonex Dutch Open 2009, Carsten Koch (Germany), approved the draw and it's published on the site of the Badminton World Federation :
